What you should/should not do during the first three months.

I know some people just prefer to read continuous but i list so that my point can be made even more clear.

1. Most important point- go to a Junior College. Don't rot at home.(Does not apply to DSA students duh)
2. Unless you DSAed in, don't buy the uniform, but anw just wear the badge if they ask you to.
3. Lecture is a must-go for the first few days. If u think u zai oready in tt topic den maybe can consider ponning.
4. Tutorials are a bit harder to pon but it is still possible. just go for the first few days lah.
5. Make sure you have friends there. Its difficult being lonely.
6. Join at least some new CCAs that you never tried before.(Mine wasn't successful; i joined Dragonboat for only 1 day, then Choir for the rest.)
7. Experimenting combinations is NOT recommended. If you are sure of what you want to take, then just take it(especially for science students). If not then just take whatever you think is necessary(heard from people or something tt you actually don't study much for econs or other totally new subjects)
8.Do your tutorials cos the tutors will actually scold those who didn't do.
9. If you seriously cannot, then just pon.
10. But ponning also must have limit i.e. before you get ur results dun pon to play safe and after the collections if you know that you are going back anw den seriously dun pon.
11. During this period PLEASE play as hard as possible cos you will never get the chance after the posting.
12. If you are a kind soul you may want to help tutor your friends who wants to go into a JC but cannot because of several reasons and stuf.
13. If you are bent on going to a Poly, then dun ever consider the above mentioned including the first one. If you are not sure then just go and experience first.
14. Unless you are taking H1/2 Maths and WILL stay in a JC, DON'T ever buy a GC. Its around $200 which means its costly. Consider preferrably after the release of results.

15. If you want to be a councillor, u r strongly encouraged to join council internship(of something like that) den u'll learn more bout it urself. Oh, and you must make lots of friends as well.
16. Learn how to stone. Its a powerful skill which keeps you awake during lectures. However you must still be awake enough to copy down notes of else you'll lose out.
17. Some people may argue that they don't go for 1st 3 months but still make themselves useful by working outside so that they don't rot. If you are aiming for a poly then its perfectly fine but otherwise just don't take the risk of losing out on 1st 3 months subjects for the sake of working experience.
